This scenario is being played out right here on Medium, but some still believe quantity will win. The view that practice makes perfect is flawed in my view. There continues to be a steady stream of red ocean content, which I think is what moved Medium to create publications it had more control over.
It had to remove the cycle of repetitive content that the primary audience sees, which the new publications have certainly achieved, much to the frustration of the average writer here.
